At Putāruru Primary School, we believe every child deserves a calm, welcoming, and confident start to their school journey. Our Starting School information supports whānau with everything they need to know about our transition to school process, daily routines, kai, uniform, and more.

• A smooth and supportive transition to kura with multiple classroom visits
• A nurturing Year 0–1 teaching team, with deep early childhood experience

• Culturally rich learning, including explicit te reo Māori teaching and kapa haka
• Practical details like provided lunches, fruit in schools, breakfast club, and school bus services
