School Leaders

Student Leadership Across the School

At Putāruru Primary School, we believe leadership lives in every ākonga. Alongside our Mānukura, we offer a range of student leadership opportunities that empower tamariki to step up, contribute, and shine in different ways.

Our student leaders include dedicated Road Wardens who help keep our school community safe, and enthusiastic PALS (Physical Activity Leaders) who organise and lead games and activities to keep everyone active and connected during break times. We also have classroom helpers, event assistants, and kaitiaki who care for our school environment.

These roles help ākonga grow in confidence, responsibility, and teamwork – showing that everyone has something valuable to offer as a leader.
